I bought an appliance package on sale...another brand. The microwave that matched my other appliances was a small countertop one. I asked to switch because I needed one more powerful. I love my Amana. In fact the first microwave my family bought, way back in the early 70's was an Amana. When I set up housekeeping in the late 70's my first was an Amana. And now it's come full circle and I've got another Amana. The best!

Love this microwave, easy to use with plenty of features. It looks great in my kitchen, modern, sleek, clean lines. Works perfect, giving hot soup in a minute. Have owned several microwaves, this is one of the best and can certainly keep up with other brands and at a price point that is great! I bought a full line of Amana appliances for my new kitchen, all have proved to be excellent quality with good looks! Thanks Amana.

My old microwave quit working. More than happy with this replacement. The only CON of this is it doesn't have a handle or knob on the front, you go to shut the door and sometimes it shuts pretty hard because there isn't anything to grab onto.

We have a history (3 times) of handles breaking off of microwaves. I specifically bought this model because there is no handle, but a push to open mechanism. The handyman who installed it for us said it seemed like a very well made microwave and that most of the parts were metal rather than plastic. That encouraged me even more with my choice of replacement. I also saw that Whirlpool was best in a rating of most reliable appliances, and then discovered that the Amana brand is made by Whirlpool! I would recommend the Amana brand as a reliable option for appliances. This model has the "add 0:30" feature which is nice, but I wish it also had a one-touch option for 1min. to 6 min. like my old microwave had. But having the push-to-open option was a higher priority for me.

I shopped around, looking for a white microwave with no handles, easy controls and over the stove Found it, bought it, installed it. Perfect fit, matched my new white kitchen cabinets and old white appliances. Works well. Love it

We have had this for about a month, it works great and works great as well. The oly thing that we don't like which is minor to me is the color of the clock numbers don't match the lights on the fridge, stove, and dishwasher. It is green when everything else is blue. Other than that it is a good appliance.

We bought this microwave when our other one guit. I like the push button to open the door. The past two have cracked around the handle. There are some features that we miss compared to our previous ones, they had a 2 minute and 3 minute push button that was a bit quicker than typing the numbers in. Also, the light on the bottom is toward the back more than over the whole stovetop.

I purchased this microwave oven just prior to Black Friday sales through Home Depot. After installation, it is working as expected. This is not a complaint, but I don't understand why the Amana logo is not on the front of this microwave oven.

I purchased this Amana Over the Range Microwave to replace a Whirlpool that gave out after five years. What attracted me to this microwave is the sleek appearance. What gives this microwave a sleek appearance is the lack of a door handle. Some people might find this odd, but the door is easy to open and close. As far as cooking power is concerned, this microwave produces a total of 1000 watts. That is more than enough for reheating left over food or making popcorn. Other features that a potential buyer might like are hi/low fan speeds, hi and low light levels, four preset heating modes (popcorn, baked potato, reheat, and defrost.) When it comes to installation, you might want to hire a professional to install it. You will need to have a drill, measuring tape, and an extra person on hand to help you install it. If you are worried about colors, this model is available in three colors, white, black, and stainless steel.
When it comes to cons, the only one that I can think of is the life or lifespan of this microwave. This microwave has performed flawlessly for the past two months that I have owned it. But, other owners have stated that this microwave can last a year to no more than three years. This might sound funny, but my advice is to not cook too often under this microwave or do too much open flame cooking. I think this microwave might not like too much heat from below. Another piece of advice, do not slam or close the microwave door with too much strength or force. IN other words , treat this microwave kindly. Thanks!

The instruction book should suggest time and settings for different food. I have found that one minute can be too short for some food, and a minute and a half can burn my fingers.

This microwave is a replacement for a Maytag microwave that finally died. Overall, I am happy with the new Amana microwave. Overall, it is somewhat lighter than the Maytag and is still about the same size. I did not have to do anything to the existing cabinets other than to drill two holes for the supporting screws that go into the case of the microwave unit through the cabinet bottom.

Detailed but somewhat complicated mounting instructions. We will vent to outside when weather warms. Works great. Love the printed reminders that are just inside door frame. Useful buttons-defrost, reheat,+ 30 second.

I bought this microwave because it fit over my stove. Then, when we got home, we realized that it had NO HANDLE! We were thrilled! On both of the last 2 microwaves we purchased and had to replace, the issue was with the handle! I love this new microwave with a push bar opening device!!
