The dishwasher arrived with rust stains all over the door. We tried the stainless steel wipes and spray and it did nothing. The door very flimsy and over time I see it becoming a problem with the seal. We called GE and had a tech visit. He went in on a rust stain and rubbed so hard to try to prove that it was esthetics. The rust stain did not budge. Then he said the door was fine. He said door was not flimsy. If I can upload a video I would, to show how flimsy it is. So to top it off the tech support also bad. Will NEVER buy or recommend their dishwashers. Just cheap and poorly manufactured.

A problem from the start

This dishwasher was chosen by a builder to be installed in our new-build home as part of an appliance package. In all fairness, my dishes generally always came out clean, but almost never completely dry. From the moment we moved in, we could tell this machine was not of excellent build quality. It runs very loud and echoes throughout our home. Within about a month, the door was difficult to close / misaligned, and there were some small but visible patches of rust appearing on the dish racks. Upon opening the door after a cycle, the "clean" light did not turn off, ultimately a problem that did not allow for a new cycle to be started. After some online research, we discovered that there is a toggle at the top of the machine that can be used manually, and we decided we could live with this manual toggling, though it was extremely disappointing to have to compromise on a brand new unit. Last night was the last straw, when the machine was running and started leaking all over the floor, under our brand new cabinets, and through the subfloor into the basement and HVAC ductwork / insulation. When we paused the cycle and opened the door, the gasket came flying off on the right side. Of course, this happened just over 1 month outside of the 1 year warranty. As it turns out, the stock gasket for this machine is no longer available through GE, and has been replaced with a new model number, so perhaps this was a known issue? I am not sure if it's just a gasket issue or a problem with the way the door is aligned, or a combination of both, but I would never recommend this machine to anyone given the number of issues we've experienced over the past year.

Does a great job cleaning the dishes. One major issue is how loud it is; but this maybe because installer forgot insulation blanket; so still waiting on that. Cant go wrong with any GE appliances.

I have only been using this for a week. It runs well and does what it supposed to do for the most part. However when I open it you can tell it is cheap plastic that pops. The door also needs to be forcibly shut. I still need to use a towel to dry the dishes that are still very wet after a wash. I would like to note that this came with a new build purchase so it wasn't a choice per say.

Product was delivered to our home with rust spots all over the door. We tried removing the rust spots with the stainless steel wipes and spray and nothing. The door is also very flimsy and over time it will start leaking. We reported it to GE and the technician did nothing. Very disappointed in this product.

I like the dishwasher except for the noise. And the bottom rack space to spray wash cycle doesn't have enough space before coinsiding with twirl sprayer wash.

I don't even know if it's clean. It's all plastic inside and out. Came with the house. It's smelly makes the dishes smell like chemicals. I've ran it a few times, thoroughly cleaned it. Idk what's up with it it's the plastic on the inside I believe.

it does the job, It is a noisy cycle. i looked for a noise muffling add on, but they don't make them. There remains a weeping of water on the walls when the cycle is finished. i have to prop it open for a few hours to dry out.

I want to love it but I don't. I do like that it doesn't leave major residue on the dishes whether you use liquid or pods as the cleaner. It does get the job done. There's no standing water in the bottom and the heater definitely dries the dishes.

Bought a new house and this was the piece of junk that came with the house. Called to get service because it NEVER worked. Wait time was almost 4 weeks to get someone out to the house.
A few weeks later someone called and said they suddenly had appts now. It was probably the warranty manager from the builder because I complained so much that made a call to GE.
The serviceman comes out and now says he needs to order a circuit board which will take 7-10 business days to come in.
Let's see how long it takes to get another appt.

This dishwasher is just okay. It came with my new home. I cannot wait to get an upgrade. It is not the best wash. Spots are on my glassses and I have to run it agian. So, I'm not saving much energy.

its really small and doesn't hold many dishes. I cook quite a bit and trying to throw pots and pans in there is nearly impossible. To make it worse...when we do start a wash cycle when its done the dishes are still dirty. We will definitely be replacing our dishwasher.

I have not had a new dishwasher in about 15 years so it would not be fair to compare, but I love love love my new dishwasher -quiet very efficient-mu dishes have never looked this good. The dishwasher, as well as all other GE appliances were purchased and installed by the Builder. This house is new construction.

It didn't come with a holder for utensils so mines are always falling to bottom. Top rack is a little flimsy like it might give me issues in the future falling off track. That is why I took away a star other than that no other complaints.

Door doesn't lock. When open in mid-cycle and try to resume, gives blinking light error. Try to re-start multiple times, cancelled, restarted with new soap pod, blinking light results in cycle stopping. Moved plates to ensure pod dispenser is not blocked and got the same blinking light error. Frustrating. Sometimes it does a full cycle sometimes I have to take dishes out and wash by hand.

Most of the time I can't get the dishwasher to start and many times it starts and doesn't finish (the start button illuminates but it does not start). Doesn't make any sound to let you know the cycle is complete and worst of all it doesn't dry anything.

This dishwasher came with our home and it is by far the worst dishwasher I've ever used. I've switched detergents, cleaned the dishwasher - everything, and this dishwasher still doesn't work. It's so cheap that the lower rack derails and falls out without any force. Do better, GE.

It came with the house. If I had a choice, I would not choose this one. Flimsy structure and takes hours to wash. Had a very plastic smell on first few uses. I would consider an upgrade down the road in a few years.

We did not go out and purchased the unit it came with the new constructed home (LANNAR HOMES). It is the lowest model on the rating. It's very LOUD and takes more time then my last GE dishwasher! When the warranty runs out so am I to buy a better model!!!

I bought a new home and my dishwasher was included but I didn't get a choice. I never would have bought this model as it seems to be the bottom of the line. Very cheaply made. You can tell just by opening the door. I love GE but I wouldn't buy this model.

We got this dishwasher with the New home that was built for us. I love that it is super quiet and has a one hour wash cycle and leaves dishes clean, the only negative is that even if the washer is set at extra heat to dry the dishes they are left soaking wet and with a bunch of water spots.
