So far I like this French door refrigerator. It is very spacious with having the ice maker on the door. The water/ice dispenser is spacious and easy to use. The only thing I am concerned with is it is somewhat loud. The normal noise sounds like a low grade churning as if it's struggling to push out cold air.

We've only had our GE refrigerator for a month or so, and so far it has been generally operating fine. My one small issue has to do with the ice maker/water dispenser. After a few weeks use, the cubed ice would not drop when the dispenser button was pressed. I open it up and it appeared that some cubes may have partially melted and then red rose into a semi/large block. Once I cleared that mass of ice, the machine resumed making smaller cubes and dispensed with no problem. I'm not sure what caused the initial problem as we did not have any power outages that would have caused the cubes to partially melt. On a related note, the water dispenser seems extremely slow. I've never had a refrigerator with this feature before, but based on using friends' fridges, there seems to be something wrong with the flow of water in this GE. It could be a problem with the installation - I need to investigate further.

Existing refrigerator gave out. With the supply chain as is, it was hard to find refrigerator to fit a very specific tight space. but Don's T.V. and Appliances, in Tyler Tx. had one. So pleased.

Overall, I'm happy with this refrigerator, it's similar to the one I replaced and is the same size but seems roomier which is a plus. I deducted one star for a few small items that I would recommend changing for this refrigerator as follows: 1.) this tray under the water isn't a tray meaning it does collect water, it's flat and I'd prefer a tray, 2.) I purchased this in black and there's a white tube where the water is dispensed which looks odd, 3.) the handle on the freezer is stationary, meaning it doesn't have any type of latching mechanism.

We needed a reliable replacement refrigerator and we're lucky enough to find this one. Slightly different in size that the previous unit, this rolled easily into its recess. I was surprised at how quickly it cooled off and how much space we now have.

Sometimes the fridge has a sound like it is breathing...weird...not a consistent hum. It has a lapse. Also, the freezer handle fell off after 2 weeks. We were able to install it properly. I dont know if this was an installer error, or if it could pop off again. Overall we love it. It has exactly the space we need, and love the black! One thing for future models...split the sandwich meat drawer. Both doors have to open, to slide the drawer out, but not a big deal.

We've been using this refrigerator for our family of four for about a week now and I cannot believe how much space we have. Lots of room even for our pre-packed lunch boxes which would not have been doable in our old fridge. The ice and water dispenser are also at a great height for our kiddos. Overall we are very satisfied with our purchase.

Except that it took almost 11months for me to receive my new fridge ,I am so happy with it l
the in door ice and filtered water dispenser . Storage is great, access is easy also live very easy sabbath mode .only down sides are it makes funny buzzing noises but they are not loud ...and ice can go flying from the dispense so I use a bowl and transfer to cup or water bottle. Plus bottom freezer handle keeps falling off but I'm able to slide it back on.

I have used the refrigerator/freezer for about 3 weeks now. I love the size of the freezer. I had a bottom freezer in the past but not a GE. This has a lot more space. The refrigerator is also nicely designed to use all the space available. So far I am happy with this purchase.

After having many issues with my first GE refrigerator that gave out I decided to call GE. I had an issue because from day one I had issues with the original fridge and they replaced the mother board several times and many other things. GE never seen fit to replace the old fridge. After looking at reviews I wasn't the only one with the same issues. Anyhow, GE gave me a nice discount on this upgraded refrigerator. It runs as it should. It's been six months and there has been no issues and for that I'm grateful. People complained about the handle becoming loose .. don't but excessive weight in the freezer or don't yank/pull when opening the freezer would be my suggestion. As far as noise .. I paid a $1000 and not retail so I can't complain about noise it's quieter than my old one. To be honest, this isn't a top of the line refrigerator. It's a mid level fridge so you get what you pay for. It's not loud to me. If I was upgrading all appliances I would've gotten something more fancier but to get a replacement for such a great price I'm happy. I wouldn't pay over $1850 for it if that helps anyone and that's pushing it! It's a nice solid purchase thus far.

I was without a refrigerator for over 8 months. We had to replace our Kenmore 3 times and finally on the last repair the repair technician recommended we get a GE. We looked into the reviews and found that GE had good reviews. I have only had it 3 days but so far I love it.

Love this fridge! The interior is very spacious and you are able to easily see everything you have stored. The drawer dividers are changeable based on the size of what you are currently storing in them and the doors have ample room for condiments and such.

The fridge performs well however the bottom short small shelf on the door (without water, ice, etc.) would be more useful if the shelves were transfigured to allow more products to fit. Also the top shelf in the fridge itself does not allow for tall containers of juice, tea, etc. with the exception of a very small area. However we love the freezer which is much more convenient than our former side by side.

The fridge looks nice and has ample space in the fridge/freezer. Main complaint is the noise. Everything is loud compared to other brands we are familiar with. Even filling a water bottle is a noisy experience. Not sure what we can do to alleviate the issue but it's no quieter than the 17yo GE we replaced.

Love the refrigerator - the smooth black finish is so much better than old rough finish. Storage is great, but the ice bin isn't very large (obviously, because it's in the door.)
Two complaints - this refrigerator is LOUD. Many different sounds -whirring sounds, buzzing sounds - these are NOT the ice maker sounds.
The other complaint is that the ice bin is not easy to remove. It feels like it's going to break if you force it out.
Other than that - we love it

The shelves could be farther apart. 2" in most cases is not much use. The large drawer at the bottom means that both doors must be wide open to open the drawer thus a 2 drawer system would be better. For our usage the freezer is much larger than our needs.

My only complaint about this fridge is the drip tray for the water dispenser in the door. It is flat and collects water. It is not removable to wash. I had to buy a sponge to fit in the spot to collect the drops. Otherwise it is a larger version of what we already had for the past 17 years.

Okay, so I have dreamed of having a larger fridge since I've turned 18. I have always been stuck with side by sides or small top freezer refrigerators at every home I've ever rented so I knew what I was getting when I bought my first home. The French door bottom freezer refrigerator with enough space in there to store groceries for a few weeks for my husband, myself and our 4 children! This was a dream come true! Except for being easily scratched, I am not disappointed! Be careful you don't try to out any magnets on the front or you'll regret it! Thanks fully there's enough space on the sides to add our magnets and not worry about scratching the beautiful front doors! One happy lady!
