A week after using the fridge full time the fridge started making a revving noise like it had been over loaded. After completely emptying it and letting it defrost a couple days goes by and it started again. After troubleshooting found the problem to be something to do with the water. Unless I use the dispenser once a day and empty out water ( I am up to 2 gallons a day now and just keeps getting greater) the whole back of fridge and freezer will freeze over. This is when the constant revving starts. After I empty water using dispenser the fridge goes through a defrost mode and the noise stops. Because of the continuous defrost cycles it goes through the bottom of the freezer will accumulate ice over an inch thick.

Very noisy cooling system. The GE factory service tech said there is no repair possible, and that this model has been in production a long time. It's not the first time they have had a service call on this issue. It's sad that GE isn't making improvements and consumers get stuck with a lemon. Avoid this model.

We leveled the unit to attempt to reduce noise of compressor. Today is 94 days since delivery & today the fan in the freezer is making a loud racket. The left 'frig door squealed every time it was opened until lubricant was applied. Not the quality we expected from GE.

Realizing nothing is exactly as it used to be I was disappointed at the level of quality of the interior plastic. Seems thin and cheap, almost fragile when it comes to the bin drawers. Would also have expected better design of freezer space.

So far I am happy with it. The water dispenser was a surprise and the ice maker seems to be good. One thing that could be improved, in the freezer section, there are two sections, the top "drawer" is very flimsy and when you shut the freezer it feels like it is going to break / doesn't shut smoothly.

This refrigerator is the noisiest I ever had. At best it belongs in the garage. The fingerprint resistant stainless steel finish shows dents and other imperfections. Feel free to come to my residence to view it.

Loving this 18 cuft Refrigerator. With all the great features like, ice maker in the freezer drawer, doesn't take space from frig space, the French doors, giving access to everything in the frig. Would recommend to all my friends.

No design configurations will ever replace the interior space efficiency offered by the conventional Top Freezer Refrigerator design. Had to choose this model based on the width to depth ratios available currently on the market. 29in. deep/33in.wide, under 70in. high. Cannot accommodate frozen Pizzas.

My favorite feature is the freezer drawers. They are solid plastic (not wire cages) so if anything spills it stays in the baskets and can be wiped out.

It looks big but once you use it you realize it's not that big. The fruit and vegetables bins are tiny. The water spout is inside. And the freezer is so small. Even smaller if you use the ice maker.

We received this refrigerator from GE as a replacement for a smaller model which was defective. I like this refrigerator much more than the original one we had purchased, the size is perfect for a family and there is so much space in the door shelves that it holds much more than I expected it to. The shelves all feel sturdy and I think this refrigerator will last a long time.

It seems to work well, but I feel like there is a lot of dead space that could have been avoided. I do not like the way the doors attach at the top - it prevents things from being stored up there. The doors also do not close easily, which is an annoyance. I have had French door refrigerators before, but I don't really love the way the freezer pulls out either. The refrigerator is also louder than I would have expected. Because of the size I needed to order, there was no floor model to see before purchasing. If I had seen a floor model, I may have gone a different route. With that said, it does keep things cold and it functions well. I just don't love it.

Installed this in our Winnebago Tour with a minimum of hassle, went right in entry door with fridge doors removed. Refrigerator work great and is such an improvement in space and convenience. Love the ice maker production and in Refrigerator water dispenser.

Great fridge! The color is sharp, the shelves are well designed, and the built-in water dispenser and ice maker work perfectly. The adjusting shelf is a big plus. If you want more space on the doors then this is the fridge for you. Just understand that you are giving up space in the main part of the fridge. You'll have to get a bigger fridge if you want both. Just make sure you have space for such a giant fridge. This one however does the job very well.

I waited a week before writing this review so I could give my honest opinion. This is a fantastic unit. I love that the water and ice are both inside the unit so my granddaughter is not playing withe the unit. Very roomy in side the refrigerator with lots of shelves. I would recommend the GE® ENERGY STAR® 18.6 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth French-Door Refrigerator to anyone that is looking at it.

The only thing I don't like is the veg and fruit bins are not deep. Unable to put celery in them. Also the temp was set at 37 and my hard boiled eggs froze!!

Sleek design for smaller kitchens. Counter-depth has less storage than a full-size refrigerator but is perfect for one or two people. Your food is eye-level, visible, and easily accessible--no produce lost to the back. The bottom freezer is convenient and easier to navigate than I anticipated. The downside is the high-efficiency compressor, which is a little noisy. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

I really like just about everything about this refrigerator. The only thing I don't really like is the noise that the freezer tray makes when I open the freezer door and when I close it. I wish it could've been put on quiet rollers it just gets banged around. And it's loud.
