We replaced an 18 year old LG that we were never really happy with due to low ice output. The GE makes all the ice we need, holds more than the counter depth LG did fits its space very well.

Fits neatly into the cabinetry. Nice display and loads of room despite what friends have told me. The delivery guys hooked up the ice maker but they didn't have any washers to adjust the doors so they match. Be careful about pulling out the drawers and shelves for them on the refrigerator side. They need to come out in specific order and fit very tightly. None of that was explained and is not in the literature.

There are only 2 features I wish were just a little better. The water would come out just a tiny bit faster and the temperature indicator would stay lighted and not disappear in a few seconds. It's quiet and I really don't get many fingerprints on it at all.

JUST INSTALLED THE FRIDGE. THE INSTALLERS, THAT I PAID TO INSTALL THE FRIDGE, DID NOT KNOW HOW TO LEVEL THE FRIDGE. KEPT ROCKING SIDE TO SIDE. LEVELING BOLTS AT BOTTOM WILL NOT LEVEL THE FRIDGE.

This appliance is very noisy. It doesn't make much ice. It definitely isn't as sturdy as our last GE refrigerator and rolls around. We have to move it back into place every few days. It looks pretty and the outside wipes down nicely though!

After research, the GE was shown to be moat Reliable for the price. I have had chronic problems with door squeaks from the casters. In addition, I've crushing leaves shaved ice inside the refrigerator.

We love this side by side after many troubles with bottom freezer type. It simple and elegant and fis perfectly into the cubby I built . One of the best features are the doors. They can fully open while it's positioned inside the cubby. The doors hinges are designed to keep the sides from jetting out unlike most other refrigerator we looked at. It's really a great feature. The is refrigerator also makes a good amount of ice and it's layout inside simple and convenient. .

I love everything about this refrigerator. But just a warning, the freezer door needs to be opened a full 180° to slide out the ice bucket. My smaller kitchen has a counter along the side 10 inches away and the door will not open all the way and I cannot slide out the ice bucket if I would have to. Fortunately the refrigerator comes on wheels and rolls out very easily, which is another great feature of it, and I have plenty of extra water line to roll it out if I would have to get to the ice bucket. Other than that the refrigerator arrived in impeccable perfect condition. I've never seen something packed so well and protected. It has a beautiful finish and a beautiful light on the water dispenser when you get your water or ice. I love this refrigerator.

Pros (4 stars): We like the smudge-resistant finish, the storage, door alarm, and being able to see the temperatures and filter status.
Cons (2 stars): The shelves (glass ones and the plastic ones on the door) are considerably flimsier and less substantial than the ones in the (2011) GE fridge we just replaced.
The icemaker (when making and dispensing ice) is very loud (again, compared to our "old" GE fridge).
And we have no idea why the entire unit has to tilt backwards at an angle?? (Looking at it from the side, the bottom appears about 2" deeper than the top.) I asked the delivery person to level it, and he said it had to be that way so the doors would shut. (What?!) I said, So why did they design the interior at an angle, too? The shelves all tilt down toward the back, as well. If you set a marble on the shelf, it would quickly roll to the back.

Skeptical of going back to a counter depth side by side frig because of the loss of space but so glad we did! This frig fits perfectly in our space and I love the fingerprint resistant finish. We had stainless before and it always looked streaked. It has all the space we need and I love having the shelves and baskets for freezer rather than the cavern of the French door freezer. This is much easier to locate and organize food.

My wife wanted this refrigerator, so this is what we got, even though I do all of the cooking. PROS: keeps food from spoiling. CONS: GE obviously put their least experienced design engineers on this project. The door alarm sounds like a truck backing up, so I ended up just turning it off. The LEDs for ice and water are useless for making a selection in the dark, as they are just dots of light instead of icons for each function, and only the currently active function is indicated. I could turn on the kitchen light, but then why have the LEDs at all? There is a small reservoir at the bottom of the ice/water dispenser alcove that could catch a small overflow, except the tray that sits above it has no drain holes. (Mine does now.) I would have prefered the temperature display be always on, or at least come on when you open a door. You won't get any ice unless the bin is at least half full, since the dispensing screw sits more than an inch above the bottom of the ice bin. The bottom freezer bin is so small as to be useless; a 2 lb. bag of shrimp fills it completely. Both freezer bins have only a lip in front, further limiting capacity. I inserted a 12" x 8" sheet of plastic in front to make them more usable. The freezer should have had an additional shelf; we ended up buying a wire one with legs (and an assortment of organizing bins; helpful but not absolutely necessary). The water filter is vertical instead of horizontal, robbing space that is already at a premium because this is a counter-depth unit, and requiring you to clear off half of the top shelf when it needs to be replaced. The giant hump at the top, center, and upper back is equally guilty of reducing space. The molded-in shelf supports are twice as wide as they need to be, further reducing valuable space. Finally, this thing is loud. There are so many whirs, clunks, buzzes, and hums that there is a full page in the owner's manual to explain away the lack of decent sound insulation.

We loved our LG fridge for its sleek design and excellent storage capacity. Unfortunately the compressor stopped working so we purchased this GE (same dimensions as our LG) as it was rated high on quality. The fridge is decent but storage is not as spacious. One big difference we noticed is the noise coming from the fridge which is in contrast to how quiet our LG fridge was. This is the main reason for my rating ("average").

I love that this fridge saves so much space in our kitchen, but just wish that the ice dispenser was a little more efficient . The ice clumps together at the very top of the bucket and gets stuck to the lever causing it to jam up and stop dispensing ice.

Its been a good fridge so far. It doesn't show fingerprints, which is wonderful, it is definitely a smaller fridge, but that is all our space would allow. The space is divided nicely with a good range of options to move the shelves up or down and plenty of space in the drawers. I am confused what the bottom space on the door is for. I thought it was wine, but a standard wine bottle doesn't fit? The water/ice dispenser is LOUD. That is my only complaint. When it pulls water in its makes a banging noise and I hear it all day long working from home. I hope I just get used to it. But other than that, its been wonderful. SO much better than our old style fridge we replaced.

The previous GE Fridge lasted 13 years so we bought the new version of the same layout.
Love all of it except the refrigerator section is set to 34 and barely keeps 40. 38-40 degrees is as cold as it gets. Will be watching to make sure it stays below 40 but I shouldn't have to worry about this issue, so stars off, Other than that happy with the purchase.

This is our first counter depth refrigerator and we love it! it has 3 drawers, adjustable shelves to help you be able to organize your items easily. it is very quite when runnning. Really need to wait on this since the new fridge is still cooling but initial impressions are good. BUT - manual says full installation instructions are on geappliances.com. Not true. Just had to do a google search to find these. The bottom front plastic cover screws were almost impossible to remove to level the unit. Manual says rear rollers were adjustable. Not true; they are fixed. Manual instructions for the front control panel did not apply to this model. So please fix the manual to reflect features on specific models instead of this generic nonsense.

GE's Standard Frig (not a Profile)
Bought this one from Home Depot. It was delivered less than a week later.
Unboxed by two young men who delivered it to our house. Inspected in driveway as Home Depot asked me to do. Our experience stated with a flawless delivery & install. I know a week maybe too soon to provide my review however I am impressed with this appliance. Especially when I considered some of the other reviews that called out the product being too noisy / load, etc. My true point of reference is my previous frig which was a French door GE Profile which was the refrigerator already installed at our new house. It was a 2016 MFG model. That higher quality model had one issue after another which I fixed each time however it was time to replace. Our new GE is simple, has consistent temps in both the freezer and the frig sides. The temp check for actual temps on this box is an awesome feature. So quiet. So I guess I can only say "far so good". If anything changes I will provide an update to this post.

We bought this fridge for the water and ice maker features and they do not disappoint. We bought the model with the ice maker on the inside of the freezer as opposed to on the door of the freezer. We've heard from friends and family, that type seems to work better and last longer. We've had ours for over a year now and the only thing I come on GE's website to do is buy a filter for the water system. Awesome!
