Good small unit. Cycle times very long compared to the last dishwasher I purchased and it does not do the best at drying.

Only 18 inches but packs a lot! Dinner for 8 to 12 no problem and the dishes and glasses are sparkling clean! Also works great for two people washing a few times per week.

Horrible rack design

I replaced my 17 year old GE dishwasher with another GE because mechanically my old one worked well. Unfortunately the racks, especially the bottom one, is not user friendly. We use tall cups that don't fit in the top rack so we put them in the bottom rack but all the spindles are slanted at an angle so they don't stand up right. I finally replaced the new rack with the rack out of my old dishwasher. Although it doesn't push in smoothly it is still better than the new rack. I wouldn't recommend based on the rack design.

Dishwasher is quite and cleans well. Not completely satisfied with the silverware caddy and spacing for dishes. The silverware caddy openings are to small and my silverware does not fit. Slots for dishes up front are so narrow that my dishes will not fit.
First one arrived smashed on the back side and had to be returned. Second one showed up with small dents but was able to move racks without any issues.

Great appliance, cleans exceptionally well as compared to both Kitchenaid & Whirlpool dishwashers I have owned previously. I also love the clean, sleek look, and that it totally matches my other GE appliances.

Does a decent job of washing the dishes but only an average job when drying. Not nearly as good a job of drying as the Kenmore that it replaced at three times the price! The washer also has a strong "manufacturing" smell to it when used. The smell is going away slowly as I use the dishwasher more.

Old GE 18" died after 8 yrs.Odd that an apt size unit would be so heavy on 8 setting design. I can lower the upper rack but then NOT wash dishes on lower rack? Ugh! Fastest wash cycle is 48 min? Where is the quick wash/rinse? No heating element now-but sanitize, ok-but wet is off putting. What is boost again? No real indicator that it is done, by steady light or sound. Once again the utensil rack is dismal but might last longer than the old coated wire rack. The folding arms on the lower rack are a nice plus for pots.
I waited 1 month for this review-I have changed the upper rack 2x, easy to do but annoying to hold back dishes that can't fit. My mistake was automatically going with a brand I used previously used-I won't do that again.
