Bought this microwave to replace a 6 year old Whirlpool because light under the Whirlpool failed and couldn't be fixed. Used my new microwave lightly - mainly boiling water and heating frozen veggies - for 11 days. Went to boil some water in a Pyrex measuring cup and after a minute realized that while the microwave was running, it suddenly sounded much more quiet. Got worried and opened the door at which point the display and all the lights went out. Checked the breaker and the outlet; both are fine.
Needless to say, I will NOT be replacing this one with another GE!

In less than two years after I purchased the GE Profile Microwave Oven, the door is chipped, the filter door cannot be closed due to the broken latch, and the entire plastic part of the filter is cracked. See photos. I am the only person who uses this microwave oven and I am a senior citizen. The guarantee is only for a year.

So far so good. Using the dial is an adjustment but getting used to it quick. There is some empty space below the turntable glass i think this helps the food warm at the bottom better than my old microwave

My last GEProfile microwave lasted 24 years. The only reason we replaced it was because the fan exhaust wasn't pulling the odors out. We tried to replace the charcoal filters but no use. This one has more bells and whistles. I am very pleased with the style.

Very nice looking microwave that has functioned well until now. We have owned it for two years and now it will not heat. We called the service repair in to look at it and they said it would cost as much to fix it as it would to replace it. Very disappointed that the microwave has it lasted only two years. Not sure if GE is the cause of this particular type of microwave that they make. Either way I would not recommend this unfortunately

The microwave functions like a microwave, but it doesn't match my other GE Profile appliances. The color of the inset in behind the door glass, the pad behind the buttons, and the interior of the cook space is Grey. All of those features on the stove (directly below the microwave in my kitchen) are Black. Also the colors of the Numbers don't match. The LED bulbs that display the time on the microwave are a Blue/White and the LED bulbs that display the time on the oven/stove are Green/Yellow. Again, the microwave is installed directly above the stove, so the mismatch drives my crazy. Why can't a) GE Profile stick with one color or b) at least list the colors in your features so we can check before we buy? Also, had to purchase online because no stores in my area had ANY microwaves in stock. Probably stuck in the Suez canal. Ordered online, couldn't see it in person and then waited 8 weeks for delivery. Frustrating.

This microwave is so handy due to the dial where you can easily manage the time. It cooks so much faster than previous model and food retains the heat. I had a suite of GE Profile appliances in my kitchen for over 20 years prior to this purchase and due to an excellent history of quality, there was no question I would replace with GE Profile again.

This is an expensive microwave and never in my life I've had a microwave giving me issues. A year and a half after I bought it, it stopped working. It sounds like it is working but does not heat up anything. Tried unplugging and replugging, setting power level to max, still not working. I am never spending almost 600 dollars on a microwave.

This is the second iteration with this microwave. The first on failed after three years. The only reason I bought this one was because the size fits my cabinet configuration. I bought with additional warranty so I will get at least six years out of it. If you are concerned about reliability don't buy this unit.

This has a very large interior and the visual in my kitchen is great. However, the dial option is not convenient. It is cumbersome and I worry about the dial 'wearing out" because of the constant need to use it for most functions. I am sorry that I did not realize this particular issue before purchasing. (I was not able to view this in a store so went by what I "saw" online. )

"Higher end" microwave that requires you to push a dial twice and then push the "start" button in order to begin working. It only allows you to cook in 15 second intervals - there is no number pad. If you are hearing baby bottles, this requires your full attention ij order to prevent overheating. The popcorn feature works well. Otherwise, I'm not impressed.

Disappointed in the short life cycle of this microwave - after 2 years it developed a major issue which resulted in the cost to repair being almost equivalent to the cost to replace with another GE model. I've owned many microwaves over the past 30 years - this was the most expensive one I've owned and had the shortest life cycle. Would not recommend.
