Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Worst ever

Nana3x 5/2/2018

I have the same complaint about this unit as many previous customers have reviewed. After a few years od use with other issues, it started to beep or try to reprogram itself and would not stop unless it was unplugged. Called KitchenAid a you times and got the same response that they could not help me since it was no longer under builder/manufacture warranty. Now I have to spend $1000 to replace the unit if I want to sell my home. I have used KitchenAid for many years but trust me, I will never buy another KitchenAid product again

Do not buy this defective kitchenaid product!

Randy H 3/1/2018

Built a brand new house and install what I thought to be upgrade KitchenAid products. This microwave has been a nightmare since day one. For virtually the first two years it was in the service shop. Eventually KitchenAid replaced it but now five years later the second microwave has now failed. Never buy KitchenAid products again

8 years and still going great

electropoe 1/28/2018

no issues after 8+ years in service. Touch screen works well. Had my first issue today with the overhead light burning out. That's a pretty good track record.

DO NOT buy

jkholly 1/11/2018

We purchased this microwave - within the first five years we had the issue of beeping and touch control panel not working; we had the touch panel replaced within the 5 year warranty. It has started to do this again with the new touch panel. Wouldn't shut off without unplugging. We have contacted Kitchen aid and have been told we can not be helped - even though it was repaired during warranty period. The service tech who repaired stated this is a known issue; not sure why this product was not recalled. Not happy.

Doesn't Heat?

dkiefer 12/27/2017

We renovated our kitchen with all new kitchenaid appliances and the microwave stopped working before the year was over and was replaced. The replacement one has now stopped heating. Its turned out to be an expensive clock over the stove. please don't consider buying one of these.

Constant Beeping is Unbearable!

Not Satisfied Cust 12/24/2017

Our Microwave has beeped for the past 6 months. I see this site has exposed several other customers with the same problem. I'm ready to toss this thing in the garbage. Do not purchase this product. We had a a problem with our dishwasher from Kitchenaid and we got rid of it and purchased a Bosch, which works awesome.

Read This Before You Buy Kitchen Aid Microwave

Wm Z F 12/11/2017

Purchased all new KitchenAid appliances when we remodeled our kitchen in 2008. In recent months the microwave beeps through the night and displays an error message saying the keys are stuck (which they aren't). The silver paint from the handle has rubbed off and customer service will not send you another one since consumers aren't allowed to work on microwaves - not that I would personally install it anyway. I'm convinced the fact the microwave sits above a gas range That Th design simply isn't durable enough. Keys also have not aged well. Cost to "attempt to repair" exceeds value of product. We have a second home at the coast and remodeled that kitchen at roughly the same time with Professional Series Frigidaire Appliances (including microwave) and they look brand new.

So Disappointed

Dan 08054 10/18/2017

Like so many other who have posted about this model, I can't believe it has failed so miserably. As a piece of our total KitchenAid renovation 8 years ago, it was a fine for a while. Then over the past few months the incessant beeping, the touch pad couldn't be controlled. Unplugging and replugging did temporary resets for a while, but for the past two weeks it came back to the original "Set the Clock" screen and no touches were recognized. Worse yet, we contacted KitchenAid for a repair call. After 5 minutes in our house, the technician said that parts for repair are no longer available. And he charged me $112.35 for the call. Why would they even come out if parts for this model were not available? I gave a description with the Model Number, serial number and a very detailed explanation of the problem

F7 error code and now its going to the garbage

Will12323412 10/15/2017

Had my old microwave for almost 10 years before I upgraded when remodeling my kitchen, this one didn't hardly last 1/4 of that with an F7 error code now, more to repair than its worth. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Disappointed

Deb&Bri 10/5/2017

We too bought this microwave 8 years ago when we replaced our entire kitchen with Kitchen Aid stainless appliances! It's been working just fine until a few weeks ago when we started experiencing the random beeping others have described. After two weeks of nearly constant beeping, nicely described as a mind of it's own, today none of the buttons work at all. Is this the "normal" life span? Should we even consider repair or just buy new? Not sure I'd purchase another Kitchen Aid.

Beep beep

I too have a problem with random beeping at all hours of the day. My poor dog hears it and runs outside! How do we fix this issue. We have all Kitchenaid appliances and this is the first one to give us problems :(

Beeps when not in use / maifunctions

5/24/2017

Beeps when not in use / maifunctions By hjd from NJ I've had this microwave for roughly 8 years and a 2 years ago it started to seemingly operate on its own. It beeps all hours of the day and night, and it did eventually turned on by itself. I replaced the front panel and within one week it started doing it again. I just unplugged it and used it sparingly.. A few weeks ago I again replaced the front panel and it did not work at all,, It appears that this is some kind of common issue and there should be a solution.... I would think the quality people of your organization know about this and can help me.

Beeps when not in use / maifunctions

Hezzii 5/12/2017

I've had this microwave for roughly 8 years and a few months ago it started to seemingly operate on its own. It beeps all hours of the day and night so much that we've had to unplug it most of the time, and for fear that we're unsure if it will turn on by itself. I'm debating on whether to replace it completely, or replace the board / control panel or whatever else everyone else is complaining about. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common complaint all over the internet. As all of my other large appliances are Kitchen Aid and in good shape, I'm unsure if I should invest in another KA microwave or not. My questions are these: are you only making large appliances with short shelf lives now? What is my recourse for remediation of issues here? Decisions, decisions....

Not happy

4/19/2017

Purchased the microwave 7 years ago. The c circuit board started beeping recently and we would have to keep un plugging and replugging repeatedly to get the microwave to work again. I was told by Kitchenaid that the door wold had e to be replaced at a cost of $800.00

POOR POOR POOR

12/28/2016

Over the years we've owned various Kitchen Aid products mostly microwaves and stoves. However after experience owning the products made by Kitchen Aid, we've been plagued with circuit board beeping, and beeping as if someone is pressing the buttons. The beeping is annoying, it's happened on the stoves and the microwaves. Both, in our home and my parents home appliances. The boards were replaced by Kitchen Aid, and still the issue came back again. The frustrating and extremely "hilarious" part of this is that the microwave is erratically beeping again as if someone is pressing the keypad, the new board now malfunctioned.....even after the replacement. So I need to pay for the board and installation again! The microwave was bout in 2007, and the first board was replaced shortly after. The cost of a new replacement board is a waste of money, and buying a new Microwave is cheaper! There are reports of these issues with the beeping all over the internet. In conclusion, I will never buy Kitchen Aid product again and will let everyone know why. This will include my contractor friends and everyone else. POOR POOR POOR

Use the fan when cooking

6/22/2016

This microwave has been very reliable. I have never had to have any parts replaced. However, the touchscreen has stopped working a couple of time, and in some cases, the unit beeped, and the display changed as if the screen had been touched. I had a technician come out to look at it the last time it happened, and he advised that, since there was no seal on a portion of the front door, steam could infiltrate into the area of the touchscreen, and condense, leading to touchscreen malfunction. Allowing it to dry out will eventually return the unit to operational order. Moral of the story is, use the fan if cooking on the stovetop.

Cheap Handles

8/20/2015

Last night, this is what we experienced with this model -our microwave that's been used for less than 5 years: the handle broke off; the hardware holding it on having crumbled into pieces on one end with a hairline fracture on the other. In order to buy a replacement handle: with shipping $104.61. Generally not pleased.

A very expensive microwave purchased with the entire suite of Architect Series II appliances. Control panel starting malfunctioning 2 years ago along with the fan. Finally quit altogether. Read the other poor reviews. I would not take the risk with this unit.
