Horrid EMI noise when compressor kicked on

I bought this model KRFC302ESS a month ago. The compressor's noise and EMI background noise gave me headache. Poor electrical design assembly. I have requested a service for a possible defective compressor since day 1. Whirlpool finally sent a subcontractor tech from Appliances Paradise to my home just to tell me it's normal! That's is an insult!
So don't buy if you have family history of Alzheimer's in family, this low frequency humming noise is not good! I'm moving it to my garage & eventually find a better brand for its replacement. A waste of $3000 purchase.

I bought this fridge with counter depth to match our cabinet width. It makes our kitchen very streamlined. There was a slight pin point pop out in the upper right corner. Looks likes it could only happen at the manufacturing stage. Thought we wouldn't notice it after being in use for a month but that's not the case.
I do love the fridge space and the water inside with ice maker. The water tastes amazing. The other feature which is very handy is that it beeps if the door is left open. Awesome.
Final comment. couldn't find the energy star rating. If it has one, please let me know as I may be eligible for rebates.

Only complaint is the shelves don't reach far enough to the back wall to keep smaller items from falling down. Quiet and easy to move shelves where you need them.

We love our new KitchenAid counter depth refrigerator. This was the final piece in our kitchen remodel and it looks and functions spectacularly. one improvement that we would recommend, if it is possible, would be less of a gap at the back of the shelves.

I bought this refrigerator approximately 11 months ago. For the past approximate 15 years, I have enjoyed kitchenaid appliances, and I love them. Not only are they beautiful, but also -- in my humble opinion -- incredibly well-constructed. This refrigerator is no exception. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! As shown in the photos, I also have a Kitchenaid built-in oven/microwave combo, a Kitchenaid dishwasher and a Kitchenaid pro series stovetop.

Bought two identical KitchenAids a couple of months ago when both of our refrigerators died a day apart. Took about three or four days to get used to two new refrigerators.....where is this, where is that...oops, I can't find this, I can't find that.....BUT this ended soon enough, and I love these two beautiful fridges. Sleek, roomy and cold...what more could I ask for.....I'm a happy camper!

I got a month ago and had a 15 yr old frig. Love the layout it is so efficient . Also love having 2-3 more inches in my kitchen with the counter depth refrigerator. Seems like it is keeping items crisper and fresher longer.

Nice fridge. Spacious upper and lower. I like the door open notification. Smart freezer design and fits tons of food. Only criticism is the water dispenser drips (2 drops) after every use and since it's inside fridge, I need to remember to wipe drops up after each use.

I bought this refrigerator during a kitchen upgrade to replace a GE counter depth side-by-side. It is a bit taller than the GE, but that works fine in our space. We have a galley kitchen and there is no room for the refrigerator to stick out further into the room -- which would have been the case with any of the Samsung counter depth French Door refrigerators. It seems to have more usable interior refrigerator space than old GE, but the freezer space may be smaller. The interior space is very well organized and it is easy to see what is in it. I love the clean look of having the water dispenser inside and I hope it will be less likely to malfunction than having the dispenser in the door. Having the ice bin with a scoop inside the freezer has not been a negative. I love the clean look of the exterior. I've had it for about a month now. So far, so good!

I've had this fridge in a 2 person adult home since September 2016. The unit has door seals that have failed. How is this possible KitchenAid?
I looked at the other reviews that say to call their 800 number and was told that KitchenAid will not stand behind this failure. Just in case you are reading this and thinking that KitchenAid is doing something for it's customer with this problem......they ARE NOT!
Luckily I purchased an extended warranty but I shouldn't need this for something that I see as a design flaw rather than a fluke failure. Just know that if you buy this unit that you will be putting $300+ in seals every ~2-3 years to keep it running correctly.

Bought this refrigerator not even 3 years ago and so far the handle has broken off, the interior rubber seal completely torn off, and the bottom crisper drawer broke off. So cheaply made at a not cheap price. It is just my husband and I and a 2 year old who can't reach the fridge doors living in house and using it so not like we are rough on it by any means! So disappointed in Kitchenaid as I thought it was supposed to be made to last!

I have had this fridge for a little over 2 years now, already had to empty it and let it sit for 3 days After having it a year to thaw after the water line to the ice maker froze. Now a year later The ice maker needs to be replaced as the heater tube has burned out.

The bottom freezer drawer must be opened from the middle, otherwise it opens / closes crookedly. Through our warranty, someone came to look at it and said this is how it's designed. Seems like a major flaw. Also, one of the shelves in the fridge fell out and a giant thing of apple cider came crashing down on my brand new floors. The water drips after you stop pressing the button, and since the water spout is inside, it spills water inside the fridge. So I'm not thrilled. But it does have good temperature control

This refrigerator works just fine. the freezer has a pretty small capacity. It has taken some getting used to having french doors. Our previous fridge had a single door that is much more convenient.

I really like the water inside the fridge. The doors don't hold that many condiments because of the narrow depth. The freezer door seems loose & doesn't pull open or close straight. I don't think it's a very good value for the price.

Overall ok, positioning left shelf on lowest position doesn't work as bottom isn't supported. Unfortunate as I wanted to keep jug of milk in coldest portion of fridge, but good news even having it in the door milk is ice cold... thumbs up. Produce is lasting a long time, much better than previous fridge.
Still waiting for a replacement door damaged from delivery from Whirlpool reported July now it is October!

Purchased and installed a month ago. So far, so good. Looks great and is working well. Hooked up the water and we love it. Well designed. Changed the end caps to black and they look great. Quiet. Only issue is that items do fall off the back of the shelves. Freezer working well too. Very pleased. Nice fridge.

The shelves don't reach to the back or sides of the refrigerator so there are gaps at the back and sides. Food falls into those gaps. Terrible design. Limited ability to set shelves due to poor bracket design. Refrigerator had dents in the doors and it took four more doors before we got doors without dents. Food at the back of the refrigerator freezes. Piece of

Fridge works fine thought it would be quieter. Still dealing with some issues doors wont balance in a straight line along the top techs have tried everything may need to replace entire unit especially due to dent in freezer door. Water and Ice features work really well and unit refrgerates great overall.

We had a small space, and the previous owners had a full size that stuck way out into the kitchen. The Counter adepts fit perfectly and looks great. We like the ice being in the freezer, instead of the door. We use a lot of ice, and now never run out of ice.

Nice refrigerator. Problems keeping the ice drawer latched to pull out with the freezer drawer. Like the interior water dispenser. The inside shelves a little flimsy the way they attach inside and bend under heavy items ie gallon of milk, etc. Like the size & location of the drawers.

Overall happy with my fridge after 1 month. It is quiet, and I like the full wide deli drawer, and the sliding shelf and ice dispenser in the freezer in particular. This helps keep foods organized. My only complaint so far is that the stainless finish is hard to keep clean. It shows finger prints and smudges more than I expected given that I had a stainless dishwasher (different brand) that doesn't show marks as much. I plan on purchasing a special cleaner to help with this.

Bought this model July 2016. If you fill fridge too full, everything in the back of fridge freezes as well as produce in produce drawers. Turned up temp and made it a bit better. The location of the water filter robs you of precious shelf space--that needs to be relocated in fridge. The way the shelves fit into the back of the fridge robs precious space because there is a good 1/2 to 1 inch from fridge wall to metal bracket that holds up shelf that keeps me from stacking plastic ware against the fridge wall. The rounded shelves built into the doors make it difficult to put too many different shape condiments in the doors which is frustrating. Creating a more rectangular door shelf design would be much better. My ice maker quit right after the 12 month warranty expired. I have had this fridge serviced 3 times and it just turned 3 in July. If I had it to do over, I'd buy something else. Love the counter depth & the French doors on top. Also every once in a while the fridge makes a BANG noise. It has done this from day we purchased. It woke me up at night at first, till I figured out it was the fridge making this noise.

Like our new refrigerator very much.
Love the size and style of French doors and pullout freezer drawer. Have to make sure refrigerator is level (from below) from the get go otherwise door closure can be a problem. This in turn will affect the ice make / it can freeze up.

We don't need a tablet screen in our fridge. We just need better basic utility than our last Samsung at our former home. This fridge has it all. Inside dispenser for filtered water so that if you spill it does not go anywhere along the stainless, but stays inside and easy to clean up. The option to pull out the ice tray with the freezer drawer or to leave it in is amazing. There's a latch for that! It's spacious and keeps thing organized and looking super neat. Everything has a place in this fridge and it's easy to see all your items without hunching or needing a step stool. Great piece!!!!!
