Bought this because of my own previous experience wirh the brand. They're expensive, but extremely well built. In terms of oerfoemance, this machi e does a great job. Get it with the pedestal . My only disappointment is that the pedestal is just that. No drawer, can't store related deyer items. Sme is true of the washer pedestal.

Our costly new Speed Queen dryer was delivered with defective rollers and drum per the repair man. Our dryer makes a severe thumping noise when first started that continues until it heats up. It will of course be repaired for free, but service is still waiting for replacement parts while we continue to run with the defective parts. This does not say much for Speed Queen product testing prior to delivery. Also the delivery men damaged our new entrance door, so not a great day.

I am loving the Speed Queen Dryer so far. I have only had it about 1 month but it is working great. We have not tried the steam function yet as we will be moving and will hook that up in our next house. The DF7004WG provides lots of choices to tailor the heat level and drying time so my clothes don't get over dried. Both my husband and I noticed that the lint filter on this machine works better than any other dryer we have owned.

Works well. Disappointed that the pedestal doesn't have a functioning drawer, or that it is even offered. The lint trap location is kind of wonky. It will be clean, a load is drying, I go to pull the clothes out and sometimes it lands on the trap and lint gets on everything.

I absolutely love my new Speed Queen front load washer and dryer. I got tired of having to buy a washer and dryer every few years and decided to make an investment in an appliance that was built to last. I'm hoping that's the case but so far I'm so pleased. My clothes are so clean and I was a tad concerned since we moved into the country where the waters a bit "harder". It hasn't made a difference. I highly recommend!

My last dryer finally quit after 12 years. My husband picked this dryer up for me on a whim. It dries most loads well and has a really nice lint trap and great lighting inside. My only issue is smaller loads. This dryer doesn't sense the dampness of the clothes well on smaller loads, so I've had several loads that have had to be rewashed and dried before realizing this issue. I've had to resort to using the 'time dry' setting and hoping I got it right

Dryer arrived with defective control panel cover but worked exceedingly well. Waiting for cover to be replaced after send pictures to Alliance clearly showing 6" bubble in cover. Repair tech sent out by Alliance ordered the wrong part. so far it has taken about a month and a half to get it repaired. Washing machine however arrived with more critical defects including technician not being able to get it to operate. Platfoms for dryer and washing machine never came. Purchased both a month and a half ago still have to go to laundry mat to wash clothing since washing machine has yet to arrive along with platforms. Overall service has been awesome. However, a bright and positive light has been a young man in Alliance Customer service named Allan who spent a lot of time assisting us with paperwork to get a replacement washing machine. He was wonderful! Ironically, I purchased the machines for my wife's birthday who had just been released from the hospital. Hopefully, if and when the replacement washing machine and platforms ever arrive she will llike them as much as she does the dryer. FINGER'S CROSSED!

When you look at this dryer you can tell it is quality built. The metal doesn't feel cheap like most brands do. I love the streamlined modern pushbutton panel which is clear and concise so you can get on with your laundry. The timer lets you know how long you have left I the cycle. I think my favorite thing is the ultra bright LED bulb inside that helps me find every last tiny item hiding inside. I only wish the washer could have a light because I have left a few things in there that I only notice when I go to fold the laundry and realize it's missing but maybe that is something they will work on in the future. The drum is clearly a large size which I understand is important to dry quickly and prevent wrinkles. The Pet cycles are the next cycle I plan to try. I hear from others how well it does between the washer and dryer so I need to give it a test then report back here. The number of cycles should cover every drying need you have and even has steam to get rid of wrinkles quickly when you find something just before you are ready to go. Like the paired washer, it stands a little taller than typical dryers so you may not need a bottom stand at all. I paired my new dryer with a special magnetic dryer hose that I believe will help me get even more efficiency out of my new dryer. I really do see this as lasting maybe until I die from the quality I know went into building it and designing it. I love, love, love the lint trap being up front and center where it is easy to see to remind you to empty the lint each load. I really can't think of a thing they could improve on for this dryer. It's just perfect!

Very good dryer that seems to meet all expectations we would expect from Speed Queen, but surprised at the poor quality control or build quality of the door pull. The dryer was delivered and set up without issues until the door was opened. The plastic handle was super loose and fell off into my hand. I had to call for a Speed Queen service technician the first day of ownership. The technician was able to fix and so far haven't had any more issues.

I really like the performance and optional cycles of this dryer. It dries much faster than my past two dryers and the lint actually gets caught in the trap not my venting. The steam refresh is a really nice addition. Hopefully this machine lives up to it's longevity claims.

Like most, I was skeptical about this washer/dryer because of the price. Well our appliance center had a 1 year, no interest. After we heard great reviews and store recommendations, we gave it a go. We had to pay extra for the risers and extra just for black. But other than that, this thing is wonderful. Quiet and quick!! Would recommend to anyone!!

Loved our new DF7004BE dryer until, it stopped heating, just after 4 weeks. Was very disappointed, especially having been a Speed Queen owner prior, for 10 years. Contacted the Speed Queen customer service and reported the issue. They handed me off to a local repair serviceman to contact. 2 weeks later, the repair serviceman showed up and identified the issue as a failed thermo fuse.
Fortunately, he happened to have the part in his truck.

WOW, i thought high quality washing machines went extinct years ago. Went with a competitor after my quality machine died years ago and was very disappointed with the short life span of the replacement. Did some checking and discovered SQ is like what the consumer products used to be. I really don't mind paying a little more for something if it's better and won't disappoint. The control panel screams HIGH QUALITY by the look and feel, and I like the power on self test (POST).

This is our first speed queen purchase. We grew up hearing Speed queen was the best……. Finally bit the bullet and got the combo. Both dryer and washer perform great…. But the quality is lacking in areas that make the units feel cheap. The dryer door did not seal properly. The door itself was misaligned. Was told by local dealer this was normal and they just bend them to proper shape? This was not acceptable. They did install a new door at no cost. Better than the original, but still not flush. Makes the unit seem cheap and not of good quality. For reference, I went back to the showroom…. And the floor model had same issue. Seems as though the door to the dryer not being flush is a common issue that speed queen just accepts?

We downsized 5 years ago and went with a smaller dryer, was not happy with it.
Did our research and found Speed Queen was American made, which is a major part of our decision purchases.
I love the large capacity drum, ease in using the control panel.
Clothes come out dry, queen size bedding has room to move.

The dryer offers a lot of great pre-sets which help a lot. My clothes look and feel better as I can tell my previous dryer ran too hot which impacted the look of my clothes. This machine is great and while only owning for a month I am so impressed with Speed Queen quality. You pay a bit more but I believe it is well worth the money!
