INTOLERABLE MILDEW AFTER 12 WASHES!

Thought I was getting the best and it's the worst! We've only used it a dozen times so far and the mildew smell is horrible-even after spraying and washing the gasket inside and out with peroxide and alcohol, doing a sanitizing wash and tub cleans and leaving the door ajar. Both I and my husband have severe allergies to mildew and molds-which is why I bought Speeed Queen Sanitize/Pet Plus washer in the first place. I trusted my seller and Speed Queen reputation. Upon research (wondering why mildew smell ?!?) I find Speed Queen acknowledged this problem in 2022 and the problem persists! And still being sold! I think a class action suit can be actionable, because this is a health hazard for people with allergies, immunosuppressed, have asthma, children, elderly, pregnant, etc. UNACCEPTABLE!! Working to return it, but don't hold out much hope. Wanted to buy USA made, but this feels like a scam. Really, really disappointed. I want to shout it across the internet! Buyer beware! And wait until you see my review about my new Speed Queen dryer that was almost unusable for a month while repair waited for a replacement control board! What the heck!?!

The whites cycle actually makes things whiter! It is so smart it adds cycles if you used too much detergent (you'll learn a little goes a long way) Tailor the wash to the load and get perfect results.

We decided not to go with the big box stores for appliances. Although I'm happy with our Speed Queen washer and dryer, I'm still waiting to be blown away with the performance of this expensive set. I hope they are the last set I ever buy hence putting the extra money into them.

After owning a GE Profile unit for 3 troublesome years I decided to switch to a commercial grade product that just works. The wash time is cut in half' compared to the GE and the cloths come out cleaner and dryer than before. This then cuts down of the time it takes dry the cloths. I will be purchasing a Speed Queen dryer next.

We are loving our front load Speed Queen washer. It does a wonderful job of cleaning. I love all the cycles to meet our cleaning needs. The only thing I would change is to be able to select cold water temperature on the perma press cycle. I have to switch to the delicate cycle.

It took 4 tries to install the pedestal correctly and stop squeaking throughout the house, and walking up to 10" in the laundry room. It still walks, but not as bad. The spin cycle is very loud. Would we buy this again? Probably not. This has not been a good installation experience. Purchases washer and pedestal Memorial weekend 2024. Machine installed 6/3/24. Pedestal installation attempted 6/17/24. And squeaked throughout house and walked in the laundry room after that. Contact Hahn Alliance in Tulsa OK for the service record. This was a bad experience.

WOW, i thought high quality washing machines went extinct years ago. Went with a competitor after my quality machine died years ago and was very disappointed with the short life span of the replacement. Did some checking and discovered SQ is like what the consumer products used to be. I really don't mind paying a little more for something if it's better and won't disappoint. The control panel screams HIGH QUALITY by the look and feel, and I like the power on self test (POST).

I really wrestled with the decision to spend so much on a washing machine. But, I'm really glad I did. It has considerably less capacity, however everything fits!! I can even wash a king sized comforter in it!! And it's so quiet, plus it washes in half the time as my old frontloader. I am very happy with this purchase!

Being a previous owner of Electrolux washer and dryer. My newly bought Speed Queen washer does not a feature that lets you know the wash is complete nor does it have a light inside. However it works great as it should because I paid over double what my previous washer cost.

Had bought my wife an amana front loader during Covid (was only front loader we could find). It was awful. She fought it for 3 years then we decided on Speed Queen. It washes in one hour what took almost 4 hrs with the Amana. Great machine.

My mother loved her Speedqueen washer years ago. I wanted to say this is the best machine I ever purchased. However, for the price, we are disppointed. We have had the wash machine for several weeks, and the soap dispenser needs to be replaced, along with a new lock for the door. Speed Queen has a Great Reputation as being a solid reliable Washing Machine. Most Laundromats use the Speed Queen Brand. I wish I had bought a Speed Queen 11 years ago, I didn't and my 11 year old washing machine from another brand broke down. I knew I would only replace with a Speed Queen Washer. I did and I love it. Why?? The Frontloader uses less water and less soap. I am saving money on my water bills. My clothes come out clean. The Speed Queen is truly a remarkable machine. It is the only brand I will buy.

I am not happy that the said tray leaks down the front of the washer while filling during the running cycle. It is a flimsy tray and has no gasket. Poor design and you should have a fix for it.

My Whirlpool top load duet died when I came home from FL. I've never been as happy with the top load as I was with my previous front load - personal opinion. One of my friends purchased a Speed Queen and loved it (he's not easy to please either) so I thought I would investigate. After some time - I looked at EVERYTHING and decided on the front load Speed Queens and I had to go with the new black color as it looks amazing. My clothes are clean, I don't have to pre-treat, don't have to use oxi clean to assist the detergent - it's a fantastic machine with many great options to clean your clothes. I have a lot of gym clothes and they come out smelling fresh and clean. I also Iike the capacity of the front load. While it is a bit pricier than other machines - I'm hoping this is the last hoorah. If this lasts as long as I think it will - I'm happy. The other important issue for me was space. Machines keep getting bigger and bigger - the machine's dimensions are perfect for even a tight smaller space like mine. I'm thrilled with the machine, Chenoweth Appliances and my great sales person MaryKay. Speed Queen - you've nailed it!

I was very concerned with replacing a 1978 Frigidaire top load washer that washed clothes clean but used gallons of water. I also hear that most washers today are five years or less life cycles. I have several relatives that have Speed Queen washers that have been going strong for a long time. I am amazed how clean my clothes come out of this machine, how much lower my water bill is and how simple it is to use!

Front door leaked on day two and about a week later - just like a weep hole. Two weeks later and it had not leaked.

The washer works well, but I'm confounded that the utility tray soap dish has a "max" line when there's NOTHING stopping the tray from filling up. The softener tray has a max line and it does fill to capacity. For a machine that costs this much money, everything should be perfect. And it is not.

I bought from a local dealer and had him deliver the machines to ensure I would have no issues if something arrived damaged. I paid $200 more than I could have gotten it from a non-local dealer. I wasted the $200z. The washer arrived dented and the dealer was notified within the timeframe indicated on the box if hidden damage is found. The dealer told me that because I bought a right-hinged washer and that they don't keep it in stock, they would not do anything for me. He went on to say that that sometimes get a machine in with a dent in the back and they just pound it out. I told him that I expected my $3,000 washer to be in new perfect condition. He told me that the distributor offered to give me a new back panel or $75 to settle the claim. I'm very disappointed in how my "local" dealer treated this sale of a $3,000 washer and a $3,000 dryer. I expected better.

Washer delivered and hooked up, delivery pair left, had to call Howard's twice, another pair showed, got level bubble pretty close to level, then left. Washer walked while spinning, checked level off about 1/5th bubble. Have not called anyone yet, to busy with other things. It does wash very well, it's the spinning I have to watch right now. Will call someone when things slow down around here.

The washer is efficient and has plenty of washing modes, but I hate that there's no light inside the machine. It's super dark when you open the door and sometimes, I miss items of clothes. I also purchased the pedestals. Unfortunately, the pedestals are not storage pedestals. This was a huge surprise to me. Why make a pedestal if it doesn't contain a drawer for storage? The machine does move occasionally while spinning. If the pedestal contained storage, the machine wouldn't move. Overall, great machine.

Our new front load SQ washer is the best washer we have ever owned or used (we've owned Kenmore, Whirlpool, Maytag, and Bosch washers). We were (pleasantly) surprised to see our clothes (particularly bath towels) noticeably cleaner using the SQ than when using our previous washer (using the same Costco/Kirkland detergent and same amount of detergent); the reason (our guess) is that the SQ uses more water while washing. The quality construction of the SQ washing machine is very apparent. Although the price of the SQ was higher than competing washing machines, we believe it was a worthwhile investment...you get what you pay for. Very pleased!

The machine was highly recommended. The first washer was a lemon. I had to wait 2 weeks for the 2nd one to arrive. It does the job of washing. The only thing I don't like about the machine is it gives you very little water to wash the clothes. If I had known that, I would not have bought the machine. It has a lot of settings which confuses me. I wish the exterior was spot free. I find myself cleaning it a lot to get rid of the fingerprints. I wanted to be able to get touch up paint if it were to get scratched being that the color is black. No one has let me know if I'm able to get some. I wish that it was a lot more simpler to operate that it is.

Everything is so much cleaner with far less water being used and the spin cycle removes more water, which means less drying time. For the high cost it should have had a light inside the drum to make it easier to see when unloading. Also wish the inside drum was not dark stainless. Both of these issues make it hard to see inside when unloading. Otherwise a great machine.

I purchased both the front load washer and dryer. I preciously owned a LG for over 15 years and was happy with its performance. The washer is noisy and is small 3 -cf. for the price I paid it didn't come with risers and the risers do not have drawers that you can use for storage. I am disappointed that the washer and dryer did not come with the steam attachment, which is extra. After paying over $2,000.00per washer, I expect the washer and dryer to come with all the extras. On a positive note the wash cycle is fast. Both the washer and dryer are very noisy.cycle is fast.

Purchased this to replace my 23 year old Maytag front load washer. Cleans my wash faster and with less water and has many options to do types of wash loads. We like it so far but have an issue with certain type loads with load balance. The store shop was out 2x to level the washer and the second time seemed to do the job. About a week or 2 later we did a short wash and the washer started walking. I tried multiple time to level the washer but when certain smaller loads the washer walks in spin mode. I now have a firm foam between the washer and the wall next to it and now it hasn't walked. The other thing is there is no light to in the drum when loading or unloading the wash. I installed a flex light low on the wall in front of the washer so we can see if we removed everything from the washer. Other than the balance walking issue and light I really like the washer.

We purchased the frobt loader washer because of the recommendation for durability and longevity. Worked about 1 week.. thru a door lock code was able to reset for 2 weeks... by the 3rd week it would not reset. Waited about a month for repair man to come only to order a part.. I have not been pleased with unit or speed of repair... Repairman was very nice once he arrived. Waiting on part to arrive so it can be fixed... Delivered to my home 12/26.. it's 2/27 just for reference...was also under the impression the pedestals had drawers.. once installed last week they have no drawers... waste of money for us as we needed the extra storage. When the machine worked I was pleased but it broke way too soon!!
