I was replacing my Maytag double oven and this fits the bill. So many upgraded features like convection oven, hinged grates that I actually enjoy my oven again. Used it for Thanksgiving and all of my side dishes came out piping hot at the same time. That was a first in our house.

Horrible Burners - Cannot get help

We bought this about 11 months ago and thought all was OK. Only after using the 3 smaller burners on stove top and having others comment that it took so long to cook did we start to question. It can take up to 20 minutes to boil water on the 3 smaller burners, which is ridiculous. They just don't get hot and it takes 3 times as long to cook now. We had a service call last week and the authorized service person said the gas burners were working per specification and there was nothing further they could do. File # 7726330856
We had an older Whirlpool gas range before this one and had no issues at all with any of the burners. Some of the burners were even less BTU's and they had a much stronger flame than this new oven. We are extremely disappointed in the oven and Whirlpool's response and unwillingness to help with this issue. Now, it's getting close to being out of warranty and we may be stuck with an oven that just doesn't work right.

I am loving the new stove. Ovens could be a little deeper and you to pretty much bend over completely to get in the bottom oven. But I really do love how well it works

My husband gifted me the oven in Oct 2019 and I was super excited. I noticed, however, that the grates were not exactly even so when you place a pan in the center it tends to tilt back and forth a bit. This is very annoying! And then both oven lights went out within the next few weeks. I had to call in a service ticket to change the bulbs b/c the covers wouldn't come off. I didn't want to risk breaking anything forcing them off. Still waiting for the repair man to return to replace the bulbs and make sure it's not a bigger issue. I want to love this range but issues like this so soon are concerning.

Endless frustration...
Grates are so too from flame. I have to use higher heat and heat spills over causing my hand to burn as I stir and the pan handles get too hot to handle. This never happened on my GE stove that had much hotter burners
The range controls don't allow for much variance in cooking temperature. They don't go to a true low setting and will not simmer food, just rolling boil on low. I have to move pans to the backburners which is a huge hassle.
Stove grates don't sit right and seem cheaply made
Digital controls are hard to push and feel like they will wear out quickly
Timer is a pain...only one small quiet beep that matches the sound of all other controls and warnings so you will never hear it when your food is done cooking.
The second top oven is USELESS. Takes twice as long to cook and won't brown. No point even having it there.
Convection thinks for you as if you can't figure out how to cook for yourself

Bought this sight unseen. We wanted a double gas oven ,to "match "other appliances. A little unhappy, that it is not fingerprint resistant like the other appliances in the group. Do like the sealed top burners, very easy to clean, but not thrilled with the hinged grates. They are hard to keep clean.

This stove looks great, cleans up well. We have only used the top small oven/broiler and couldn't be more pleased with precise cooking outcome. Will use the bottom oven at thanksgiving and then can give a totally complete review. The grates are wonderful!!!

I bought this oven less than 2 years ago and this week the top oven stopped working. I called Whirlpool and they made a service request. I was then contacted by the service people and told I would have to pay $125 for someone to come look at it and then I would also have to pay for any repairs or parts. The warranty is only good for one year. I am extremely disappointed that any company would be ok with selling a $1700 product that does not last more than 2 years. I called Whirlpool about this and they said that there was nothing they could do. Very discouraging. I will not be buying another Whirlpool appliance!

We actually added propane to our lake house and bought this double oven range. It is absolutely awesome. We have had commercial grade gas oven/ranges before - and this definitely competes. The only drawback is the installation diagram for the electrician and plumber - neither could figure out nor install correctly.

I bought this range a month ago and love it ! Having a double oven is very convenient. The top oven is smaller so it preheats really fast --I do the majority of my baking in that oven. I love that the grates on the top of the range are hinged because it makes cleaning very easy (my last range also had the full top heavy grates but they weren't hinged so had to lift them completely off to clean)

got the oven/range home and unpacked all the wrapping and found that there were 2 dings in the stainless steel panel cover the store offered 10% off for the damage or I could bring it back and they would order another. the part is about $86 dollars to replace.
need better quality control.

I bought this 4 month. First month it melted the control panel while broiling. The next month the grate broke, consistent to other reviews. It's on the left side grate. It's true the grate is too high and need to always put the flame high in order to cook. It's not energy efficient. I like Whirlpool, I replaced all my kitchen appliances, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, but this is the worst quality product I got from Whirlpool.

I received this double oven range last Saturday, the ovens do not work. Monday was a holiday so I called whirlpool on Tuesday. I left two messages and two email messages and never received a call back or any kind of response from them. So I called the place where I purchased it and explained that it is a lemon, neither oven works. I spoke to their corporate office and explained the problem and they said they would replace it but so far nothing has been done a week later. I will never buy another whirlpool appliance. It is beyond unsatisfactory that whirpool does not respond to their customers.

We are on our second Whirlpool double oven. When we built our home 3 years ago, we upgraded to this oven and within the first year it was replaced because the covers inside the oven kept popping off and out of place. It literally sounded like firecrackers going off every single time we preheated the oven.
This oven does the same but it is not nearly as bad. What really makes me mad is that the cast iron grate just broke. I saw someone else's review and noticed it's the exact same piece that broke. Obviously Whirlpool didn't do anything to fix their product. That's all on top of the fact that nothing cooks evenly, the top oven opening is barely big enough to put your pan in the oven without burning yourself.
I will not be buying another Whirlpool range.

We purchased and installed about 3 months ago. It has been a good unit. I bake alot so it is nice to have two ovens. I love the range top and that the grates are on hinges for easy cleaning. My only complaint is that the light bulb in my oven burnt out already. Thankfully Whirlpool did send me a replacement so it is working again. I do wish the timer alarm on the stove was louder. It can be hard to hear from another room

We had this new range installed when we bought our new house just over a year ago. As soon as the one year initial warranty is done this range is like a car and everything starts to break. The large burner takes multiple attempts to start and when it does the flame is huge. The cast iron grate now has one of the feet that is broken. Isn't cast iron supposed to be very strong?! Make you wonder what the grate is actually made of. To say the least I expected much more from something that is new and by a reputable company.

The smaller over is too small to not get a burn from. The lower level is just too low. Worried that my dog may step on the door and get burned. It lays on the ground.

I had a double oven electric range for many years but I always wanted to switch to gas so I was very excited when I found this one and it did not disappoint! Also love that the bottom oven can be used as a convection too! I feel like I got everything on my wish list in one unit! The only thing I don't like is the bottom oven door handle hits the floor very easily. Have to open it slowly.
